Community Housing Program

This service is only available through referral from Allegheny Link. If you’re experiencing homelessness and live in Allegheny County, call Allegheny Link at 866-730-2368.

FamilyLinks’ Community Housing Program, formerly called the Shelter Plus Program, provides housing and case management services to homeless individuals and families with identified disabilities in Allegheny County. Following the Housing First Model,  consumers are housed in scattered site apartment houses/apartments throughout Allegheny County.

Who is eligible? 

Adults and families affected by mental health or substance abuse issues

What can you expect? 

A case manager will work with you to find suitable housing and financial assistance to help cover rent, based on income.

How do you enroll? 

All services for individuals experiencing homelessness in Allegheny County are assigned through Allegheny Link. Familylinks cannot take direct applications for this service.
