WHY IT WORKS
YETP helps students who have dropped out of high school acquire the skills they need to obtain and retain a meaningful job. This highly individualized program focuses on self-discipline, communication skills, personal choice, responsibility, and the encouragement it takes to find a rewarding job and live a successful life.
Participants are encouraged to complete their high school education requirements or get a GED and to acquire the additional skills necessary to be marketable in the job world. They are encouraged to pursue options such as CCAC, Job Corps or other technical schools.
Through its vast array of services, Familylinks is able to provide total support to the youth in YETP, offering everything from life skills training and bus passes to career counseling and tutoring.
Our staff works closely with each youth to evaluate their strengths and match them with the opportunities that are best for them.
