Familylinks announces the appointment of two new members to its Board of Directors for 2017-18.
Joining the Board of Directors are George Manos and Will Martin. “We are thrilled to have George and Will join our Board,” said Frederick A. Massey, Jr., CEO. “Together they have over 80 years of experience that will prove invaluable to the Board’s oversight function, increasing our ability to provide a full range of family-centered services to the community in western Pennsylvania.”
A graduate of Penn State University, Will Martin is a retired banker who spent almost 40 years working with financial institutions in Pittsburgh, including BNY Mellon, Citizens Bank and Wells Fargo Bank. Prior to joining the Familylinks board, Will served on the board of the Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council for 14 years, including 5 years as treasurer. He is also Chairperson of the Familylinks Foundation Board of Directors.
George Manos is a Canton, Ohio native, earning his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Ohio Northern University in 1973. He immediately began working for U.S. Steel in the commercial department in Cleveland, playing a significant role in the formation of U.S. Steel’s joint venture with Kobe Steel of Japan, the USS/Kobe Steel Company. After holding various positions in management, operations, and human resources, he retired in June 2014. George has served as board chair of the Industrial Management Council and served on the board for the Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council.
