Volunteer OpportunitiesVolunteer Opportunities

There are many ways you can give your time to help support FamilyLinks’ mission of building hope, health and strength by becoming a volunteer. FamilyLinks not only values the countless hours of service that our volunteers provide, but also values the way our volunteers serve as ambassadors to the community. Our volunteers help to create links between our services and the many untapped resources in the community that can benefit FamilyLinks and the clients we serve.

Here is just a sample of the wonderful opportunities for you to make a difference at FamilyLinks:

Holiday Campaign
FamilyLinks "Holiday Gift Campaign" is one of the many ways we serve our clients and their families. Taking place during the holiday season, it is a great way to get into the spirit of giving. You can organize your family, friends, church, social organization or business to take "wish tags" for clients at FamilyLinks. FamilyLinks will provide the participating group with gift tags, donation instructions and a pick-up and distribution plan. If you or your group is looking for a way to give back this holiday season - this is the project for you!

Office Assistance
Sometimes the things our staff need assistance with the most are the day-to-day duties of copying, faxing, filing, research, typing, phone calls, data entry, and other office tasks. If you think you can assist FamilyLinks with any of these duties - give us a call!

One Time Projects
Small volunteer groups or an individual can provide art projects, information sessions, or a board game night for a shelter or program. If you can provide the tools, materials, and talent, we have an audience that is waiting to learn. (Appropriateness of projects is at the discretion of FamilyLinks staff.)

On-going project for groups
There are certain items that our clients need on a regular and ongoing basis, such as baby items (diapers, blankets, pacifiers, etc.); personal hygiene items for homeless teens; small household items (bed sheets, bath towels, etc.) for homeless women with children. If you or your group is interested in participating in an on-going project - call us!
