Youth Emergency Shelter

Female & Male Shelter Programs

 

Provide comprehensive, emergency shelter services in community-based facilities throughout Allegheny County for adolescents in need of immediate, temporary living arrangements and for their families because of an at-risk situation (e.g., abuse; neglect; behavioral issues; family crises). Services focus on child safety, well-being, and permanency, and include: provision of healthy, safe living environments; youth and family assessments in all life domains; educational services; family supports; clinical interventions; recommendations for treatment, placement, when indicated; coordination of and referral to community clinical and supportive services.
